Advanced Dungeons and Dragons 1e or 2e?

Basically what the title says. I want to run some old school dungeons and dragons for my friends. I hear that 2e is generally better as a game, what with it being better organized. It also has cool artwork. I feel like if I show my friends the PHB or they get a copy online they will be much more impressed and immersed by the artwork. On the other hand, I have already been reading some 1e modules and I just generally feel like I have a better understanding of the rules for 1e. I tried playing both with Chat GPT (I know, I know) and I had a much better understanding when I played 1e. I also feel like 2e is more closely tied to Forgotten Realms while 1e is more closely tied to Greyhawke?

TL;DR: Which edition of Advanced Dungeons and Dragons would be good for a DM and players who are new to Old School gaming?

Edit: I should also specify, I'm not having any problems reading the 1e books. In fact, I feel like I'm getting a better hang of them (somehow?). However, I am also worried about what my players will understand. Should I show them/tell them to look at 1e or 2e player's handbooks?

Tips for Running Keep on the Borderlands

I'm trying to get into AD&D and I want to try running Keep on the Borderlands for my friends. I am pretty experienced with "modern" D&D but old school gaming looks very interesting to me. I heard that Keep on the Borderlands is a D&D classic and that its a good starting point for new players and Dungeon Masters.

I was wondering if anyone had any general advice for running the module, or for running old school D&D in general?
