Today marks the one year anniversary that FH5 got released on PS5 & I wanted to share my story.
In March of last year, I suffered a severe accident at work that left me with a broken back. Unfortunately, this incident marked the end of my career, which had been my life's focus for 26 years. I used to work 70-80 hours a week, seven days a week, but all of that changed in an instant. It’s funny how we take the simplest things in life for granted. One day everything is fine & the next your in a wheel chair. Since January I’m no longer confined to a wheel chair but the struggle to learn how to walk all over again wasn’t an easy task. My nephews tell me I walk like those Zombies on the TV show The Walking Dead haha. I won’t ever be 100% but I keep getting better each month.
After the accident I needed to find something to occupy my mind. Something to cope with the sudden change. I decided to pre-ordered FH5 Premium Edition on my birthday April 4 2025 & had my first ever experience playing on early release April 29, 2025. Who knew FH5 would become an obsession. I got hyper focused on the game. The hours I was used to spend at work I put into FH5. Although l've scaled back my gaming hours since completing & collecting everything last year, I still play every day.
Fast forward to the beginning months. After I got 100% completion on everything in Mexico & on both Hot Wheels & Rally Adventures DLCs. Which I thoroughly enjoyed. Especially Finding all the roads, bonuses boards, & tank balloons. I was on a mission to get the whole car collection. I started by getting all the AutoShow cars first, to get them out of the way. After that, was the real test. I wanted every rare hard to find. Thats what started my addiction to auction sniping. I gradually started getting really good at it. Had good days & had bad days but that’s the price you take when it comes to sniping in the Auction House. It’s all hand & eye coordination. My hands & eyes still worked perfectly fine after the accident haha. Also at this time I had Backstage passes but I didn’t want to use them. I wanted to challenge my self. I got all rare hard to finds & Backstage cars the near the end of summer. Also to this day I have never once used a Backstage pass. I still complete the season playlist every week & the passes keep stacking up. After getting the whole car collection that didn’t stop me from auction sniping. I continued sniping & got a ton of duplicates. Helped out a bunch of players in the sub r/forzaauctions. This was before every rare vehicle got put into the Backstsage. I would always sale my duplicates for there lowest max buyout. I wanted players to actually have a chance at getting that rare hard to find & not have to worry about spending millions of credits getting them.
Also back when started playing i did a lot of YouTube watching & came across a YouTuber named NiceDriving. Some of you may heard of him. He has a super easy farming method using the 2011 BMW X5M Forza Edition which rewards you a ton of skill points, credits, & XP. I would do this farming method hours on end pretty much every day of the week just to keep my self busy while I was taking a break from doing race events or sniping cars. This is also how I got to max prestige 10/2999 back in December.
Rewind to this year all I have been doing now is helping out new players here on Reddit with anything in the game. Also been grinding accolade points. Completing season playlists every week. Playing online with a couple of my friends, my nephews, & their friends. Also I enjoy gift dropping cars to new players all the time. I just went past 11,000 Kudos the other day. Mostly got all of my Kudos from gifting cars with a very small trickle of other stuff like custom paint jobs.
Since I have everything completed that I needed completed including all trophies there isn’t much for me to do anymore. After one full year of playing. My FH5 experience was awesome! Not only did it help me out in one of the darkest times in my life but it also helped me understand how great a game can be. I meet a lot of awesome players from the community. Not only in the game it’s self but also on here in Reddit as well.
I know I have while yet for FH6 to be released on PlayStation. I also completely understand why this is. I’m just glad us PlayStation players got to privilege to experience Forza for the first time. Can’t wait to see all you Xbox/PC players here on Reddit sharing all your FH6 adventures. Will give a better outlook for what I will be getting myself into haha. Here is to FH6 🍻
