A lot of altered stand names sound a bit ridiculous, especially that “notorious chase” stand in for Notorious B.I.G in part 5. But in part 6 the localized name for Made in Heaven being “Maiden Heaven” was pretty genius imo.

So my question is why doesn't this happen more often? Wouldn’t homophones (or at least similar enough sounding words) serve as a better workaround than just changing words altogether?

Maybe im just dumb and there’s reasons for not doing this, If so i’d like to know why :()

EDIT: Best way to put it from the replies, it’s all “arbitrary nonsense“ as some names like Heavens Door are kept despite being fairly obv references but others like Kiss or Echoes are changed even though they are kinda broad.
