Today is my Surgiversary! Two years ago today I had gastric sleeve surgery that changed my life. I have gone from a miserable, unhappy, unbearable to be around person (the person in the picture on the left) to living my best life at 56.
Sleeve surgery is pretty drastic and it’s NOT easy and it’s NOT a magic bullet. As my surgeon told me, “There is no magic bullet.” It’s a lot of hard work - a tool to help you reset. You MUST change your habits or you will fail. It’s the hardest thing I have ever done, but 100% worth it!
If you are in that place I was, I encourage you to do something about it. It’s never too late. I had my surgery at 54.
Just do it. You’ll be so happy you did and so will your family. ♥️
