Moonchild Sanelly made my Saturday morning

That’s it really! Her interview with Radcliffe and Maconie was pure joy.
I was a bit nervous at the start as they didn’t seem to have much to respond with or ask initially but it was then so good.
Sounds like she’s great live too!

An interesting read from BBC today and something that really does need to be regulated: https://www.bbc.co.uk/news/articles/ce84e1vn1l2o

Our 10 month old is not a good sleeper and you may see some of the posts I’ve made on this 😅
Something that has always bothered me though is the amount of content I have targeted at me on Instagram about getting baby to sleep through the night and it’s absolute nonsense. To then read that some of these “experts” are giving totally unsafe advice is just awful.
The only thing I wish the article had touched on a bit more is that the industry is preying on sleep deprived and desperate parents. What would actually be helpful from these “experts” is addressing unrealistic expectations because it is biologically normal for babies to wake frequently. Therefore, the best thing is to focus on how to cope with this and maximise your sleep rather than forcing the baby to sleep through. Unfortunately though, this is an industry where there’s money to be made so they create problems to be fixed.

I do want to recognise that there are definitely sleep coaches out there who are responsible and can help with safe practices so that you can get some rest.
And to anyone going through the wringer with sleep right now, you are not alone and you are doing a great job!
Finally, if a sleep consultant has given you some advice that doesn’t feel right or has tried to medically diagnose your baby, please do speak to a qualified medical professional ❤️
