I am not a very vocal atheist but people close to me like my parents , wife , best friends knows I am aethiests. And I have a very health relationship with all of them except my mother , they see me more like a practical person and understand me and I respect their religious beliefs as well. Me and mother argue a lot when it comes to religious beliefs and I alway end up doing what I want against her will. To most of the outside world I keep my aetheism to myself as long as I am not being forced/expected to do something stupid in name of god/ religion.

In few months I will become a parent. My mom (only parent) is super duper religious and we stay together. My question is what do I teach my kid about god ? I dont want my kid to go to school and see some praying god before lunch and start an argument on it. Pretty sure all other kids and parents will cast her out if she is too vocal about aetheism. A kid wont have a maturity to know when to shut up & when to speak up when it comes to religious beliefs.

So do I just go along and let her beleive in god and tell her about atheism once she is older ?? And exactly how older ? That would also mean I would have to do all stupid religious stuff untill then otherwise she will question why is dad not doing pooja etc ???

Aethiest parents any advice ??
