Sympathy for the Tavil
I have been cracking wise with my brother about James Tavernier deserving his round of applause from us in his final Glasgow Derby, about him deserving his testimonial at Paradise etc., but we both agree how he has been treated is more than a bit unfair.
Hardly his fault that they kept picking him as he lost the pace that masked his defensive deficiencies. Is he going to say 'No, thanks. I am shite now.' when he gets picked.
Some of the stuff they are saying about a guy who joined them when they were on their knees and spent his peak with them when there was plenty of interest from elsewhere is just rank.
I full-on want to buy him a fish supper and tell him not to mind them TBH. Then probably goad him about handing us a lifeline back into the race, but nicely.
