Roseselsa Ceramics Ultra, first impressions
My eagerly awaited Ultras finally arrived. Wow folks. I haven't listened more than an hour yet, but I'm legitimately wondering if these are the best earbuds I've used. I'm asking myself if I made an unnecessary purchase with my Huawei Freebuds Pro 5. Yes, they do have better ANC and more features, but I really can't say they clearly sound better. In fact, my mind recoils at the thought, but the Ceramic Ultras might sound better. The Freebuds cost more that twice as much, and that was on a huge discount. I'm also amazed and very pleased by the Freebuds Pro 5.
I was nervous because out of the box the Ultras had some noticeable sibilance. I'm highly sensitive to it though, so it may not be an issue at all for most people. However, as I'm playing music the sibilance is decreasing. Really not bothered by it now. Roseselsa mentions burn in on their website, so perhaps initial treble harshness is a characteristic of these drivers. These buds are just sounding better as I listen, and they already wowed me.
I'll try to drop some more impressions as time goes by, but feel free to ask questions.
One thing to note, in order to update the earbuds you've got to remove them from their case, click on the firmware update section of the app, put them back in their case with the top open, and click update. It will take a while. I think it was at least 15 minutes for me.
