Why does nobody read Triumph and Torment?

Historically ever FF movie that's had Doom in it has flopped like a fish out of water; and the main reason is is that they haven't gotten Doom right. He's always be portrayed as an ego-maniacal, bad for bad's sake, villain. But that's so far from the truth it landed on Pluto. If anyone takes a look they'll see that he's:

  • Monarch of Latveria who genuinely believes he rules better than anyone else
  • A scientist on Reed’s level and a powerful sorcerer trained by monks
  • A man driven by a mission: freeing his mother’s soul from Mephisto
  • Someone who truly believes he alone can save humanity

It literally takes reading one book to understand him and he's far more complex than most people think. In my opinion he's one of the greatest villains ever created.
