I’m hoping people can help me think through my next (and second) ER cycle, essentially whether we’ll stay with our current doctor/clinic or move to another one. I’ve provided a synopsis below, excuse any typos, misunderstandings, this is all very new to me. Thanks so much in advance.

Us: 34(f) 39(m), began trying in December 2024. No positives, did 4 unsuccessful IUIs in Fall 2025. My AMH was 1.12 in April 2025 and .66 in February 2026, I’m 5’8” and about 135 lbs. All bloodwork normal, cycles very regular. SA is normal.

First ER:

No priming. Began on day 2 of my cycle with Goal-F 300 IU SQ & Menopur 150 IU SQ. On day 4 of stims had an ultrasound and bloodwork and Cetrotide 0.25mg SQ was added, and Menopur was upped to 225 IU. I triggered with Lupralide and Pregnl on day 9, and had my ER 36 hours later. Throughout the ultrasounds I was nervous as it seemed to me the follicles were all very different sizes. I don’t have exact sizes unfortunately.

10 eggs were retrieved, 4 were mature. The other 6 were all GV. This is our issue. All 4 fertilized with ICSI. One arrested on the earlier side, 2 almost made it to blast but didn’t, and we had one 4AB blast. It was unfortunately aneupliod, missing the 21st chromosome.

Options going forward: Stick with our current doctor/clinic or switch to a new doctor/clinic that we just met with.

Current: Huge clinic, possibly largest in NYC? He wants to reduce the doses (didn’t say by how much), and introduce clomid days 3-8 of the cycle. He also had me start taking 50mg of DHEA and 400mg of CoQ10 (already was) each day, however I don’t think he was putting much stock in that. I asked about priming and he said he didn’t think it would be helpful.

New: Much smaller clinic. This doctor thought my doses from ER #1 were very very high. He said that after priming with Aygestin, he would start me on much lower doses, and instead of going up as they cycle went on, the doses would go down. This really threw me as I didn’t even know this was an option. He also said to stop taking the DHEA, and that the only supplement he recommends is vitamin D.

Questions: Any advice, thoughts, experiences with similar outcomes or changes would be appreciated. My husband wants to give our clinic another shot before switching. I’m really very torn.
