I went to Skyline KL on 1st May to view a few apartments there.

For those who have lived or are currently living there, what are the things you like and dislike about the place?

My take as a visitor:

Pros

  1. If you don’t drive or prefer not to, this condo is just a 1-minute walk to the Pudu LRT station, and only one stop away from Hang Tuah station, which connects you to Lalaport mall, Jaya Grocer, restaurants, food courts, and more.

  2. Just across the street, behind Jalan Pudu, you’ll find plenty of local food options (some great, some not) along with an old supermarket and department store called The Store.

  3. New condo, with vacant possession in January 2026, comes with the drawback of loud renovation noise.

Cons

  1. Very high density, over 2,200 units.

  2. The facility floor (swimming pool, gym, etc.) was packed, almost like a bustling morning market, possibly due to a public holiday.

  3. Long, narrow corridors, small, crowded lifts and lift lobby.

  4. Ceiling fans, fridge, washing machine, and ACs aren’t provided by the developer, unlike the Sunway property I’m in now. So, if you end up with a landlord/owner who goes for low-cost furnishings, good luck... you’ll definitely need it lol. (Seriously, in one of the units I viewed, the ceiling fan was so noisy and wobbling so much it looked like it might crash down at any moment!)

  5. Management is fully on board with short-term rentals, so be prepared to share your condo amenities, you will feel like you are at a hotel. To give you an idea, they’ve even set up a “Securitized Concierge” at one tower’s entrance to handle guest check-ins and check-outs. According to the property agent, this concierge service is operated by the biggest short-term rental company in Malaysia.

  6. Depending on the unit, you could get a cemetery view, this may be a pro to some, dead people are quiet unlike most short-term guests, my experience.

Bottom line: If the war in Iran drags on, prices are likely to rise significantly in the coming months or even weeks, so if the rent is low enough, I might think about moving there.

For those who have lived or are currently living at V Residence 2 @ Sunway Velocity, what are the things you like and dislike about the place? The rent isn’t much different from some of the newer condos (similar square footage) in Bangsar.
