Where to Air(layer…)
recently purchased this large japanese maple, i intend to eventually trunk chop below the first fork. it’s mid to late spring here in tallahassee, the perfect time for air layering i hear.
i want to make 3 air layers on this tree, in each circled location. the two red locations are both the same trunk, while the blue circled location is on the other trunk. are these locations compatible with the air layer process? or is this too much to do simultaneously.
