Incorrect Great Ace Attorney Theory
I wanted to share a theory I had whilst watching a friend play through the first Great Ace Attorney game that I was REALLY proud of...but immediately realized was probably wrong, haha.
So, my idea was like this. I thought that there was going to be a reveal that Herlock Sholmes wasn't actually the REAL Herlock, but was in fact the great thief Arsène Lupin. Basically my thought process was that the real Herlock had died at some point, and the great thief had taken over his persona as some sort of way to keep his spirit alive. The issue is however, Arsène may be very smart and perceptive, but he's an awful detective when it comes to drawing conclusions, hence his predisposition towards wildly off base deductions.
The main thing that made me think this was during the first case with him, he show cases a lot of skills that almost seem more like skills a thief would use, rather than a detective. Then when I remembered the origin of the name "Herlock Sholmes", my brain fired off this theory...only to then remember the old JP trailers of this game when it first came out that had the name correctly as "Sherlock Holmes".
Still, I was really proud of this theory for a bit, and wanted to share it because I thought it was fun :P
Posting this as a spoiler, since I'm technically discussing plot stuff...even if I was wrong XD
