Need advice on camera upgrade for videography —l ZV-E10 vs A6700 vs sticking with my phone?

I’m a student in India and I’ve been doing video editing for a while, mainly for client work. Lately I’ve also started getting more serious about shooting my own content and working as a videographer, not just an editor.

Right now I’m shooting on a Samsung S23 FE and honestly, I’ve already gotten some great shots with it. That made me realize that skill, framing, lighting, and editing matter a lot more than just the gear. But at the same time, I’m starting to hit limits with consistency, low-light performance, and the overall “premium” feel I want for hospitality / food / documentary-style work.

I’ve saved around ₹25k so far and I’ll probably be around ₹30k soon. My long-term goal is to buy a Sony A6700, because I want something that will last me for years and can grow with me. But that body is expensive, and by the time I factor in a lens, batteries, and cards, it becomes a big investment.

So I’m trying to decide what makes the most sense:

- keep using my phone for now and save longer for the A6700

- buy a cheaper camera first, like the Sony ZV-E10, and start shooting professionally sooner

- or save even more and go straight for the A6700 later

My main use case is:

- cinematic reels

- hospitality / restaurant content

- documentary-style videos

- premium social media content

- occasional client shoots

I already know I need a lens too, and I’ve been looking at options like the Sigma 18-50mm f/2.8, Sigma 30mm f/1.4, etc. But I don’t want to make a bad purchase and outgrow it too quickly.

What would you do in my situation?

Would you go for the ZV-E10 as a bridge camera, keep saving for the A6700, or stay on phone for now and focus on skills first?

Would really appreciate honest advice from people who’ve been in a similar spot.
