Hi, probably a stupid question, I have an L1A blanket interview coming up next week in Johannesburg. I understand you can qualify both as a people or function manager. Can I interview as if I'm both?

The US role will have 2 senior direct reports in US, and 3 in South Africa while l'll also be providing functional leadership to our Canadian and Argentinian operations.

So can I say I'm both people and functional manager or would I have to interview as either / or? Support letter and attorneys reckon I can be both, just want to check with people who might have experience here, I don't want to introduce too much nuance or make my case too hard to follow if I only have 3min in the interview.

Hi, looking for some advice, possible sanity check / some peace of mind. In 2012 (I was 18 at the time). I was arrested for an alleged assault, case was dismissed and I have no convictions. This was declared on my DS160, (only the arrest and dismissal, not the charge, but I'm sure I can give the charge at interview stage if needed)

The court documents don't exist anymore, I called the court and was put through to a clerk said they only retain documents for minor civil/magistrate cases for 3-7 years. She laughed when I asked for written confirmation that the records don't exist and put the phone down.. gotta love our government. Anyway will a police clearance certificate help to take with?

The rest of the petition and application is rock solid, under blanket approval with many L1A's and B's transferred over the last few years, the arrest thing is my only concern.

South Africa, Johannesburg consulate.
