Diagnosed w SIBO 2nd time

Just got diagnosed with SIBO for 2nd time. Was diagnosed first time in 2015 after extensive testing. I’ve been suffering with symptoms including extreme 60 lb weight gain over last 2 years. Only recently did I find a good gastroenterologist who confirmed I have it & need Rixfaximin again.

Any long time sufferers have any advice on how to manage this long term? It’s clear by now I’ll be battling this for the rest of my life & feeling very down about it. Plus the fact that I had many doctors literally say SIBO is “not a real thing” to me for past 2 yrs.

Any words of support or advice moving forward are very welcome, thanks guys 🙏
