Context: I graduated from college in December with a degree in broadcasting, and have been looking for a job in broadcasting since January while crashing at my parents' place in Florida. I have probably applied to 100+ places at this point, and have had a grand total of four interviews. I just got my first offer from KOTA in Rapid City as a media producer. The interview went really well, the guy I interviewed with seemed to like me a lot, and the vibes felt good. However, the pay's only $18/hr, so I'm wondering if it's worth it to move halfway across the country for less than $40k a year. I want to accept it because I'm about at my wit's end with searching for a job and getting repeatedly ignored or looked over, but I'm reluctant because I don't think it's enough money to really live life as a single guy in his mid-20's. I don't want to sell myself short, but this is the first opportunity I've had in months to actually do something with my degree.

Any thoughts? Is $18/hr enough to survive in Rapid City?
