Tried glue tabs for the first time and my nails popped off overnight

I usually use press-ons with built-in adhesive because they actually stay on pretty well for me, but I wanted to try regular glue tabs since everyone talks about how easy they are to remove.

Last night I spent forever prepping my nails, used tabs with a new press-on set, pressed everything down really well, and avoided water before bed. I woke up this morning and half the nails were already lifting. One literally popped off while I was making coffee.

Now I’m trying to figure out if the issue was the tabs themselves or if the nails just didn’t fit my nail curve properly. I like changing my nails every week, so I don’t really want to go back to strong glue, but I also don’t want nails falling off after one night.

Do some brands just work badly with tabs or am I doing something wrong?

I’ve been working on a small food concept for a while now and I’m finally ready to take it seriously. I want to open a small casual spot in my area, nothing huge, but something solid that can grow over time. I started putting together a business plan and quickly realized I don’t really know what “good” looks like.

Right now I’ve got some ideas on the menu, rough costs, and who I think my customers are, but it all feels scattered. I want to organize it properly so I don’t miss anything important or make dumb mistakes early.

For anyone who’s done this before, what did you include in your business plan that actually helped once you opened? Did you follow a specific format or just build it your own way?

This has been happening to us more than I expected. We’ll close early for a private event or adjust hours for a holiday, and somehow people still show up saying we’re listed as open online. We try to update everything, but between Google, delivery apps, and our own site, something always seems to slip.

We also get a bunch of calls asking if we’re open, especially on holidays. Not a huge deal, but it adds up when you’re in the middle of service. The worst part is when someone leaves a bad review because they came by and we were closed, even though we thought we updated it.

Right now we’re just manually updating everything, but it’s easy to miss stuff when things get busy. Curious how others handle this. Do you have a system for keeping hours consistent across platforms, or is this just one of those things you deal with?
