Anyone here use the community-home app in their sub?

I'm testing in a hidden space; but I can't get the dang thing to work. Can't even add text in the fields unless its a copy pata, and even then I can only fill a single field before it freezes 🤦‍♀️

Anyone else having issues?

Am I doing something wrong?

Thanks in advance ⚘

One of our amazing users had a wonderful idea about hosting an open chat thread for everyone to hang out, talk about whatever and get to know each other a bit 🤗

So we're gonna do an Open Chat Thread each month with a link to the previous month's chat embedded for those who want to continue on those older threads.

Open chat you can discuss anything you like (within reason). Standard sub rules and sitewide rules apply of course. Also, no offering or soliciting readings in the chat, obviously 🤷‍♀️

So, on your mark, get set..

Get your Chat on!

🎶 Start talk talk talking that blah blah blah 🎵

The Month of May is recognized as Mental Health Awareness Month and along with making posts in support of those who struggle and using hashtags like #YouAreNotAlone on social media it's a time to reflect on ourselves, the world we live in, the people around us, and how even the smallest things we do or don't do can make a really big difference in someone's life- sometimes it can even save a life.

We must also remember that mental health is a challenge not only during the month of May; but for some people every day, and within that knowledge we need to strive to act with gentility and kindness when we see someone who is struggling and/or vulnerable.

None of us are perfect. We are all just human and we all make mistakes as part of the human condition in that we are both fallible and fabulous. We all have our struggles and we could all use a little grace sometimes- even to ourselves, from ourselves at times.

Take time to make time for your mental health.

Selfcare is the root from which we are able to branch out into our care of others.

Treat your inner child with all the love and devotion you would your own child. Give them a hug, a compliment, a word of wisdom from elder you and maybe even a little treat just because they are so very special. You're special too!

A little tool for your mental health kit can be this universal website for those in need of support, Seven Cups of Tea. https://7cups.com offers free listeners in over 150 languages and support is available 24/7 365 days a year.

🗣ATTN r/Tarots users!

We need all hands on decks and the community to pool together try to figure out WHERE Mr. Bean was killed by Mrs. Peacock 🧐

Remember, these are small practices as we warm up for the big final game, and there 3 levels of play so this game is suitable for users at all levels of learning!

Now, let's tour the mansion and try to figure out where this poor man was attacked...

Conservatory- a large corner room with lots of windows to let in the natural sun. Many lush green plants, very fresh and vibrant. Almost gardenesque..

Ballroom- a grandiose room in the rear with a large dance floor, music and much splendor. A fancy concert piano, a vast bay window with built in seating- truly luxurious. A place to celebrate, gather and be on parade...

Kitchen- a quaint little corner kitchen where the lovely Mrs. White works away until she can finally enjoy her retirement. It feels functional, not overly showy, pretty basic; but comfortable. An abundance of food though, and definitely well kept.

Dining Room- a place of feasts and festivities, where people gather to take part in the bounty of life and enjoy its many flavors. A large table, expertly crafted, as I'm sure the other furnishings must be handmade. Another room of abundance- wealth and abundance. Also has that social aspect.. I wonder what this room would look like in the cards? 🤔

Lounge- akin to what many of us would call a "living room" the lounge is like a cozy hang out where people can relax and chat. It's also a place you can sneak away while the other rooms are bustling with excitement. It's a calm and comfortable room to be sure.

Hall- similar to a foyer, this is the main entry to the home. A place to welcome and feel like you've come home after you've been away. It's not fancy. Pretty basic really; but it's the entry,  welcoming and returning that really sets this room apart from all the rest I think.

Study- a smaller room than the much larger lounge; but built with much the same purpose, with a twist. it's similar to a home office where you're working on projects and deadlines. Studying for school or working on crafts or hobbies. A room of both action and relaxation.

Library- another studious room to be sure; but rather than working on accomplishing a set task, this user of this room and it's core purpose is heavily invested in the acquisition of knowledge. A room of learning, discovery and deep research into humanity.

Billiard Room- a room for games and merriment. Just look at that pool table! I bet there's some darts and maybe some cards and dominoes tucked in there too. There's even a little bar in the corner- a sign to drink and be merry if ever there was one. This is a room of fun and lightheartedness. Laughter and joy. I'd even show you my jump shot in a game of 8 ball if we were hanging in the room right now 😂

#Advanced Reader Challenge:

Use whatever deck and spreads you like to read for "where it was done" based on the characteristics of the rooms listed above. Please show your work and explain your process to help those who are learning see how it's done. You can also do the Intermediate challenges if you like.

#Intermediate Reader Challenge:

Try the Advanced Challenge if you feel you wanna give it a go; but an alternate or additional challenge is to use any 3 cards from tarot to make a room profile using the cards, for any one or more of the different rooms described above. Make it even harder, by NOT using any major arcana if you're up to it! Please show your work to help others who are learning see how you built the profiles and why you chose the cards you did.

#Beginner Reader Challenge:

Without looking at other people's posts, use the descriptions of the rooms above to identify the one card in tarot that you feel best represents each of the 9 different rooms. If you want to take that a step further, you can select 3 cards that in combination describe one or more of the 9 different areas detailed above. Explain the card(s) you chose and why you feel those cards represent those rooms.

Good luck everyone!

The "where it was done" will be posted on Wednesday evening between 8pm- midnight EST.

Next weekend, we will read for the different weapons!

The following week is the BIG CHALLENGE when we read the whole scenario in one massive attempt to find the guy or girl who killed our beloved Mr. Bean!

Hey Everyone 👋

The MOD Team has updated our rules.

Nothing major; but we've streamlined a few that were frayed and added "No Advertising" as it's own new rule being as we're finally going fully ad free tomorrow!

We wanna thank the users for making their voices heard on so many different things 🥰

Rule 1 Hate Has NO Home Here has received so much support! We are honored to stand on guard for this community and its members, and pleased whenever the community comes out in support of us 🫂

Rule 2 NO Scammers or AI is something I believe all of us agree to within divination and/or spirituality/occult spaces, especially r/Tarots We stand strong on the human element and the art that is reading and healing as a whole. Thank you for standing with us on that front 🥰

Rule 3 No Harassment/Stalking which is something we fortunately have yet to see here; but we do moderate other spaces and have seen it happen so that rule sits in place as protective factor just in case 😉

Rule 4 🚫NO ADs🚫 the day everyone voted for is finally here and we'll be entirely AD FREE shortly. Free ADs will be back in June for only approved, active users of the community. Many wanted us to host some trusted, Vetted Readers for paid readings as well, and that will be rolling out through July and into August. Only our approved readers will be eligible for vetting, and only active members of the broader community will be eligible for approved status.

this is a major undertaking, and we are going to try to give you guys everything you asked for, in the safest way we can

Rule 5 No AI or APs is reiterating of rule 2; but its automoded when its set as its own rule so we needed the extra just to make our lives a little easier 😇

Rule 6 re: Interpretations we will do better at enforcing this rule once we get ads fully under control- we promise; but with such a small team, it really is a "choose your battles" and our first frontier is always gonna be ensuring the safety of our members. 🛡

Rules will be updated again in a few weeks as we make changes to open up free reading again.

If you think there's anything else that needs to be included in our rules, please post it below or shoot it to us in MOD mail for your discretion.

Thank you again for supporting the Team and being part of this awesome community 💐

This was not originally going to be part of the CLUE game; but we found this online and thought it would make a fun side quest for anyone who wants to give it a whirl 🤗

Which Mr. Bean was at the mansion during the murder? Was it....

Batbean- a smexy modern hero who would have probably driven Mrs. Peacock right batty bonkers with that rubber mask, pointed ears, wing like cape and muscle pressed body armor? I'm sure Miss Scarlet would have wanted to be rid of a man with connections to the cops pretty badly too...

Jokerbean- an additionally dunderheaded clown which would have surely pushed Mr. Green and Colonel Mustard right off the edge of whatever is left of their collective sanity?

Wolverbean- having a specimen like that would surely have pushed Plum way past his limits. He would have bean (punny) a must have for that island I'm sure!

Baked Bean- Mrs. White would have been totally all over some monstrous humanoid of a baked bean wandering around the mansion on his own.

What do you think?

Which Bean did we loose? Which Bean survived? Will these Beans be in the final game?

Who knows!

We'll post the answer for Mr. Bean on Friday and find out!

Hey All, 🥕 here with more MOD News 💗

In preparation for Thursday's big advertising shut down, we've made post flairs a static requirement for all new threads, and we've beefed up security with more bot bouncers and other nifty tricks to make posting here a bit harder for scammers and such.

Please make sure you flair your posts appropriately.

If you have ideas for additional flairs just let us know.

AD flairs will be restricted to "approved users" only as of Thursday, and getting approved for advertising will come with some heavy requirements (see sticky announcement for info).

We welcome anyone seeking readings to head on over to our friends at r/InclusiveTarot and readers are welcome to apply there for the privilege of advertising as well if they like.

If any of our regular users are having issues posting in the sub with the new settings please let us know via MOD mail and we'll manually bypass you in. 🥰
