Minneapolis and the Easter Story
The ancient story starts breathing again.
Not because Jesus and Minneapolis are the same event. They’re not.
But because the same moral question keeps returning. When the machinery starts moving, who are we inside it?
State power asserts itself. Protest erupts. Competing accounts emerge. Official statements collide with eyewitness testimony and video. People sort themselves quickly into roles. Some defend authority on instinct. Some resist it on instinct. Some insist we should wait for more facts even when facts are already being buried under narrative warfare. Some decide that public order matters more than the bodies caught beneath it. Some look away because they’re exhausted. Some because they’re frightened. Some because the whole thing feels too complicated.
And some stay close enough to see.
