Men who have worked both blue collar and white collar professions, which do you prefer?

What are the pro and cons for both?

What made things easier or harder?

From your experience, did you see differences in the general work ethic among the people you worked with?

I (36F) am thankfully on the otherside of burnout. After 7 years of really stressful life events, paired with a really toxic marriage that led me to burnout in and of itself, I divorced my ex last year and have been working to rebuild my life since then.

I have done A LOT to get my mind and body healthy again after all the stress it's been through. While my health is back on track and I'm doing much better, I've noticed that my body just doesn't handle stress like it did before. I had a stressful situation come up last week and can tell my body needs more sleep/downtime. It's almost like my body is saying "you pushed too hard and for too long before so we're going to do a FULL pause now". Seems like I just don't have the mental/physical energy to just white knuckle through things anymore and my body is more sensitive to stress. Maybe I never did, but just ignored it. Maybe both.

Has anyone else found this to be the case? Has anyone recovered from burnout, but noticed they become more sensitive to stress?
