Hi! I have a theory about S5 that I want to see if you guys think it’s possible.

I am wondering if S5’s subplots will also be centered around queer experiences - to give us an overall image of their life in Bridgerton’s regency era?

The recent news about Nicola not being much in S5, coupled with that leak that said Kanthony won’t be there at all (and I don’t believe the leak, but I wouldn’t be surprised if Kanthony isn’t in this season at all) and then, the news about Florence Hunt (Hyancinth) currently filming a movie makes me wonder if the subplots will actually fall on the new characters instead of the Bridgertons (with the exception of Benedict).

Marcus’ son is rumored to be gay and I think I read somewhere that Michaela’s best friend is an ex? So there’s a possibility the subplots will be about them in the same way season one had a whole subplot for Marina. This would make this season more disconnected or stand-alone than the others.

I think this makes sense because Nextflix/Shondaland is probably aware that this season is going to bring new viewers who just want to watch a season about saphic love but won’t continue watching the next seasons.

So a question to Franchaelas: would you like a season like this or would you prefer if the other Bridgertons are more involved?

Regarding Eloise’s subplot: With this kind of season, sadly, I wouldn’t be surprised if Eloise’s subplot is relegated to a mystery - maybe with the hopes that the new viewers decide to watch next season to see what was Eloise doing and where did she run to? I don’t want this for Eloise, but part of me is trying to accept this is what we may get.
