I am a Third-year Computer Science Student and I am currently working on my thesis project called "Pharma-Seen", a machine learning system that aims to recognize and transcribe difficult-to-read handwritten drug names.
I’d like to ask for voluntary help from licensed physicians or medical professionals by contributing simple handwritten samples of drug names.
Preferred format for reference:
What I’m looking for:
- A handwritten drug/medication name
- A corresponding clear typed or neatly written version of the same word
- Please also include the generic name if applicable
Out of respect for privacy, I would like to emphasize that I am actively avoiding and will not be accepting prescriptions that contain personal details:
- Please do NOT send images of real prescriptions
- Please do NOT include any patient information
- Please do NOT include doctor identifiers (names, signatures, license numbers, clinic details, etc.)
Purpose:
This is strictly for academic use (Thesis). The data will only be used to train and evaluate a handwriting recognition model. This is not for medical consultation, diagnosis, or prescription interpretation.
Participation is completely voluntary. Any number of samples would be a big help!
