I am not very experienced in construction (definitely a newbie) and used ChatGPT to help design things. Issue now is I need to check ChatGPT suggestions against a knowledge base.

Corrugated Polycarbonate Sheets for the roof.
- Need some advice on how to correctly attach my 6x6 Pressure Treated Posts to the brackets I have cemented into my Pad.
I had originally planned to put 2 (8” long, 1/2” wide Galvanized bolts with washers on each side plus 12 2 1/2” #10 (6 on each side) Fasten!aster MVP screws.
ChatGPT pushed back and said to skip the through bolts since it would weaken the posts. Indicated I should use Simpson Strong Tie #9 x 1 1/2“.
Fine with switching screws but concerned about eliminating the through bolts.
Thoughts?
