Hello, I was trying to get rid of these textured ceilings cause they collect a lot of dust and quite the eyesore. We trying spraying it down with water then scraping with drywall knifes and couldn’t quite get that layer off, we then thought sanding it down would work but looks to be the only part that got sanded was the texture part. I thought maybe skim coating would work but not sure if that would help or make matters worse. If anyone has any ideas or experience getting rid of this any advice would help thank you!!
