A positive statin story

I just wanted to share my lab results after 1 month on 10mg rosuvastatin, then upping to 20 mg for 3 months. My doc wanted me to start at 20 but I was nervous about side effects so I asked to start lower for 30 days then go up.

I had some weird nerves and slight dizziness my first week or two on statins but I have otherwise had no side effects at all. I am 32F and very active so I was nervous about muscular effects but there were none.

My lipo a was 83 when I got tested in Jan after seeing very little movement in my numbers after about 6 months of very careful diet watching. So my doc was like really you should try statins so I did. I’m happy to be on this drug for life with numbers like these. I don’t want heart disease like my Dad’s side of the family had.

Just wanted to share a victory and a positive statin story. I’m a lurker in this sub so I’m appreciative of everyone sharing their experiences with and without drugs. Whatever works, right??
