This is my great grandpa.Ellsworth leonard finlayson, born in may first eighteen ninety nine. Passed away oct 7th 1948. He was underaged and drafted into world war one.He became the light heavyweight wrestling champion in the navy of both the atlantic and pacific fleets, while aboard the USS Arizona. It was also the athletic director of the athletic fleet in the navy. Before his matches, while in service, he would usually put on a strongman act, showing off his strength to the entire military.. before wrestling period. After his service he then transitioned and became a professional wrestler and professional strongman.For the rest of his time alive. He later became the heavyweight champion of north and south dakota period and was even considered the heavyweight champion of the northwest. In his strong man acts, he would have a sailor on each side of him grabbing onto the steel bar bending it while he holds it in his mouth like a vice in the middle... he would balance a two hundred and fifty pound rock on his chest, while sailors with sledgehammers would break it on his chest.. he would pull cars with his teeth.. he would let that same vehicle run over his chest.. he would bend horseshoes, with his bare hands into pretzels.. bend thick railroad ties.. he would blow up car inner tubes just using the air from his lungs until the tube would burst..etc etc. Also during his time wrestling, he also beat many world champions and wrestled just about all them in his time....too many to mention. He wrestled frank gotch joe stecher ed strangler Lewis, big munn, Buck Olson. Etc etc
