I will preface saying this may not entirely belong here but I need some advice and if someone can suggest a better sub please do!

So about a month ago my partner and I moved into an apartment in Orlando FL. We moved from out of state and looking at the unit prior to moving in wasn't really an option for us unfortunately. We moved in on the weekend and had an honestly horrible move so far. Ended up staying the night somewhere before moving our stuff in. I went to check it out before we got things moved in and to my horror we found around 10 dead or almost dead roaches along the baseboards in all three bedrooms and two of the closets. After that a few more here and there the next few days. I asked the leasing office if there was a known infestation in my unit (This is very likely due to the state of the unit but that's besides the point
)or any around mine and she didn't know and suggested something for me to buy. I know this is Florida and roaches are normal but I know there's a problem somewhere and I want to take care of it.

Fast forward to the last few weeks and I'm seeing very tiny roaches and little almost pods or shells everywhere in random places. Walking on the bedroom walls, on the bathroom floor, and random drawers and running on the counters in the kitchen. I'm also noticing very small dark brown or black specs in the cabinets and drawers in the kitchen.

My question is what am I dealing with here? Is this normal stuff or am I sitting on an infestation in my unit? Are they possibly from a unit I share the wall with? We are trying to keep everything clean and closed up. I'm also being a stickler about keeping the sinks fairly dry, the dishes at least rinsed, and no food where it shouldn't be unless we are really careful. My complex has pest control on site eery week and can spray on my request but I need to know if I should be doing something more. This is my first time dealing with something like this so to me it's a big deal but it seems when I say anything about it to management I get dismissed by "Well this is Florida". Yes it does sound like this complex is a real winner huh? Unfortunately for me this is not my only or biggest issue with this place but this is not a vent about my shitty property management team sub! Even worse I'm locked into this lease so I need to get some answers!

If you got this far, any and all advice is helpful and appreciated. I am also happy to provide clarification or pictures at the request!
