very interesting to hear them do that when they haven’t done it much outside of b-sides and unreleased material. This feels like them coming back to the electronic scene if that makes sense, much more overtly synthesized but at the same time including much more overt acoustics (and electric guitar). It’s like the two battling halves of boc, the lo-fi and acoustic, against the maybe more digital and electronic is gonna be a bit of a musical theme here? Idk too early to tell but I’m loving all this new music.

I have been in love with physical modeling synthesis for a long time now and with many great physically modeled instruments coming out that sound really damn good, I’m wondering if any of you know either a physical modeling synth which can accurately create a choir-ish sound? From what I’ve searched for there aren’t many publicly available specialized instruments for this purpose. I love the idea of building a relatively unique choir without using the common samples but I know that simulating human voices singing would likely be a complete other can of worms compared to a piano or violin lol.

I love this sound, it’s both classic BoC but with through a modern lens, like finding an 80s piece of intense synth music and it being absorbed by a dystopian theocracy idk lmfao
