Kaiser Background Check ??

Hi Guys ! So I recently got hired for Kaiser Permanente on a contingent offer ( having to pass background check and drug test ) which I knew I would pass with flying colors due to me not having a background and that I do not do any drugs of any sort .

So a few days go by and I didn’t hear from background check people and I thought that was a little weird cus background checks usually take 2-3 days (at least for me ) so eventually Kaiser emails me and tells me that they are sending a pre adverse action letter against me because some of my employment dates on my application were off ( I’m not taking slightly off by a month or two ) I’m talking off by YEARSS…. And before you judge….

Let me explain … so when I did the employment applications I was instructed to go back 10 years and I did however it didn’t have enough slots for me to put ALLL the jobs I’ve worked only a few slots and I was told to try not to leave any gaps; since I never did this type of form prior to a background check I stretched out the dates to leave as little gaps as possible; the thing is the dates on the employment application are WRONG; however I did work for these companies but the dates are off

…. So when I tried explaining myself they told me to still provide paystubs that MATCH whatever I put on the application so example let’s say I put: TOYS R US Jan 2014-SEPT 2018 but I only worked there from March 2014-Dec 2014 ; they want the pay stub indicating what was provided on the application; which I told them I wouldn’t be able to provide because the dates are OFF ; mind you it’s been about 10 years

….. I provided Tax documents from the IRS and they want PAYSTUBS ; which is not easy to obtain in a day or so . Now I neeed help on what to do .??!!! They seeemed like they really liked me so now I’m scared because I did work from the companies but my dates are off . I do NOT have any criminal background of any sort so that’s not an issue at all ! Is there still a chance I can get the job : this is my dream job guys and I feel like I just blew it because of stupid employment dates 🥺🫠.
