Hey everyone,
I just received my Wyde Maia sandals in size 43, they are way too long. However, the width is already almost too tight, meaning a size 42 would be the right length but definitely too narrow.
My feet are 26.5 cm long and between 10.5 cm and 11.5 cm wide.
I am looking for a similar foot-shaped sandal with these exact specs:
• Two-strap slide design: Just like the Wyde Maia or Birkenstock Arizona.
• NO heel strap: I do not want a back strap at all, just a simple slip-on.
• Extra wide toe box: I need 100% toe freedom, most "wide" brands still seem too narrow in the correct length for me.
Does anyone know of a brand that makes these types of slides for truly wide feet? Everything I find either has a heel strap or is not wide enough in a size 42. Any help is appreciated! Thx.

Hi everyone,
I recently bought two pairs of Hobibear barefoot shoes because I wanted to see if the hype was real. The brand has decent reviews here on Reddit and the Amazon ratings are also not bad. I specifically like that they are cut quite wide.
The Details:
• Price: € 30 per pair.
• Models: One waterproof pair for wet days, one textile mesh pair for the gym.
• Sizing: I ordered one size up as recommended.
Fit and Comfort:
The shoes arrived today, I have to say the fit is great. My toes have plenty of space just like the size chart suggested. There is a good thumb's width of room at the front, the sides are not too tight. You have a stable fit without sliding around inside.
Quality:
They make a solid impression for the price. Of course they are not on the same level as premium brands, you get what you pay for. I am aware these are budget shoes that you can find on AliExpress or Temu, but for €30 they seem to offer a lot. If they last one or two years, I will be very happy.
My Plan:
They look decent enough as you can see in the photo. They won't be my "all day" shoes yet since I prefer my high-end pairs for business but for the gym and the garden they are perfect. Maybe I will change my mind in the future if they really impress me.
Overall I am very happy with the price and the wide fit. I will report back after a few rainy days and some gym sessions to let you know how they hold up.
What are your experiences with the durability of this brand?
I have been wearing the Nova Dual Black for eight days now, I wanted to share my thoughts on the fit. It is honestly great to finally find a brand that offers a wide midfoot, a huge toe box, a thick sole all in one.
I originally went with a size 43. I was so happy they fit that I bought a second pair right away. After a week of walking, I realized my pinky toe touches the inside and I sometimes bump the front. It is not painful, but it makes me think a size up would be the better choice.
I am keeping the first pair because I already wore them outside but the second pair is going back for an exchange. I am switching to a 44 to get that extra space on the sides and in the front.
You might want to consider going one size up from your usual to avoid a return. Wyde shoes are not that long.
I will post another update once the 44s arrive, I will let you know how they feel and how the exchange went.
