Hello everyone, looking for some input on some business ideas I have. Currently looking into the keychain industry as I don't see any brands specialising in keychains specifically. Yet, keychains / charms are everywhere, whether that be hung on bags, in cars, keys, etc. I want to create something in this field– a notable brand. People want to have something that they can identify with; a niche, a passion, an aesthetic, and I think keychains are a great way to target this.

I have a few ideas.

  1. I'm very inspired by les nereides, a french luxury jewellery brand that specialises in very intricate and ornate jewellery pieces, decorated and adorned with mini creative and artistic models. So, one path I'm thinking about developing a more high end luxury brand, with a similar idea to the intricate pieces that les nereides makes, but for keychains.
  2. Converse to the luxury space, another approach would be to make keychains more genz/gen alpha laced, heavily leaning into the trend-setter, big branding, creative, social media approach. Easy to remember name, new drops, partnering with big names in pop culture. Vision here is bright, bold, trendy. Something you have to get.
  3. Another approach is similar to 2, but for specific niches. E.g I grew up playing a lot of tennis, and I would notice how everyone's tennis bags were pretty much the same. If you search up tennis keychains, you don't see much out there other than super cheap plastic looking ones from amazon or etsy. So, nicely designed keychains for niches that comes in a variety of designs. Then spread to different niches.

Any advice, insights, thoughts would be very much appreciated! Thanks a lot guys!

hi guys! i've seen a lot of people go to the us and study economics and get into investment banking, etc. here, it seems like a lot of people study finance with the goal of getting into the equivalent places? i'm wondering if the economics major in the us is equivalent to the finance major here, and if so, how is that different to economics? thanks.
