Hello! I am very new to the "hybrid" training overall. I have been weightlifting for quite a long time, since high school and I am not a senior in college. With this, there have definitely been ebs and flows in my consistency with exams schedules, moving, etc that have caused me to not necessarily be in a place muscle mass wise that I would like for how long I have been weightlifting. I have also recently started incorporating running into my weekly schedule to train for a half marathon (running it next weekend), where I have been averaging around 20mi/week in running volume while also hitting the gym 4-5 times per week in that span.

This sort of hybrid split doesnt worry me, and I have honestly really started to love running more than I thought I ever would, but I have also been in a pretty aggressive cut trying to lose a lot of my body fat for the first time and was wondering if anyone had been through a similar sort of experience and could tell me when they knew it was time to stop the cut and go to maintenance. For context, I am (now) 158lbs and 5'10", I started my cut on 02/16/26 where I was 172lbs. I have noticed myself getting much leaner (ie not fitting in pants, more definition, etc), but it has definitely been mentally draining. I started this cut with the main goal of seeing my abs for the first time (I have always been a bigger kid, although athletic) and still feel like I have probably have another ~10+ lbs to lose in order to achieve this. Just really looking for any advice on this as its sort of hard to tackle for the first time alone. Would be more than willing to provide before and after photos so far, but didn't know what was really appropriate as this is my first post in the sub :)
