Got shortlisted for Written Test + Interview for IIT Bombay MTech RA in EE1 (Communication Engineering) and EE2 (Control & Computing).

Background:

* GATE CSE score: 470

* 1.5 years experience in IT

* CSE background

I saw around 980 candidates are shortlisted and my number is around 830.

I’m worried because of my non-EE background.

How difficult is it to get selected or get a suitable project/lab? I noticed some labs like PC/System Administration related work which matches my background a bit.

Should I go for the written + interview seriously? If I perform well, do I still have a realistic chance of getting selected?

Any seniors or IITB RA students please guide.
