Running in Leiria

I already got a great response from the community on things to do in Leiria during my few weeks there. So here is my second question.

If I am staying in city centre Leiria, what are some great running routes? Looking for scenic options if possible. Not a marathon runner, but like to cover some distance. I am ok with hills.

Also, any routes or places I should avoid running just because it would be weird to have someone running through a neighborhood or other locations. Making sure I don’t violate any cultural faux pas.

Added bonus if there is anyone who wants to show me some routes. 😃

Spending the summer traveling and have two weeks scheduled in Leiria at the end of July. Coming from America and I am not anywhere near fluent in Portuguese (very very basic). I do like to meet people wherever I travel. Looking to see if the language barrier will be a hurdle in this region of Portugal or if basic Portuguese phrases and English will get me by.

Would also love recommendations on places to go, things to do, places to eat, etc.
