Pressures at Work
I could use advice/perspectives from working moms in similar situations. I work at the Director level and lead multiple teams. One team is focused on regulatory requests that often drop very quickly and have very short turnaround times. Every request feels like I am having to work miracles to meet them. This results in my working 12-14 hour days because there is no tolerance for missing regulatory deadlines (valid). Every day I panic a bit waiting for what is going to drop next, etc. I am so tired and there is currently no option to increase staffing to help relieve pressure. Here I am waking up and already my chest is tight, I feel physically sick, and my anxiety is through the roof over going to work tomorrow.
From other working moms who work in roles with this kind of pace and pressure, how do you cope without destroying yourself in the process? Any tips for dealing with the anxiety and dread?
