Hi there! I’m a 31-year-old ER nurse. I deal with real-world chaos for a living, so I’m looking to trade it for some digital chaos during my time off. When I’m not at the hospital, I’m usually hiking, kayaking, reading, or puttering around the house tending to my mushroom tubs (mycology is a weirdly addictive hobby).
I’m a big fan of science fiction (Dune, Bobiverse, World War Z—the novel, not the movie), LitRPGs (The Completionist Chronicles by Dakota Krout is great!), and just science in general. I’m left-leaning but pretty easygoing. As long as the conversation is respectful, we’ll get along great.
My Personality:
I’m a "chat while we play" kind of guy. I can focus when the game gets intense, but I’m also known to playfully "stir the pot." If we’re playing Portal 2, expect me to drop you once or twice just for the laughs. I'm looking for friends who will be playful right back.
What I'm Looking For:
I have a solid collection of shooters, strategy, and party games. Currently looking for a duo or a small group for:
Co-op: Portal 2, Trine 2, Borderlands, or It Takes Two.
VR: God's of Gravity, Demeo, Rec Room
Casual: Tabletop Simulator, Jackbox, Garry's Mod, or Among Us.
Strategy: Civ VI, Starcraft II, or board games via Tabletop Sim.
Shooters: CS2, Halo, or Battlefront 2 (Classic).
Narrative: I love games like Deus Ex and Detroit Become Human/Heavy Rain. If you want to stream single-player games to each other and just hang out, I’m down for that too.
Experimentation: I want to try new games with people to see if they're my style or not!
The Logistics:
Schedule: I work 3-4 shifts a week, so I have plenty of off-days in the afternoons/evenings CST.
Communication: Must use Discord/mic.
Energy: Looking for people who don't take life (or games) too seriously. If you get upset easily, we probably won't be a good match.
