Hey r/ObsidianMD,

The Obsidian Web Clipper is great on desktop, but on Android there's no good way to share an article directly into your vault as actual extracted text. The share sheet gets you to Obsidian, but you get a link, not content.

So I built SiteToMD. Tap share from Chrome or any app, and it loads the page locally, runs it through Mozilla Readability, and converts the output to Markdown with Turndown — same libraries Firefox and Jina Reader use. You get a .md file with YAML front-matter (title, source, date) ready for your vault. Everything runs on-device. No account, no server, no cloud.

I need around 20 Android users willing to keep the app installed for 14 days — that's the Play Store closed testing requirement before I can push to production. If you actively save articles to Obsidian or Logseq, you're exactly who I built this for.

Sign up at sitetomd.app and I'll send the testing link to early signups first.
