Not sure if those has been asked before. With Edition recommendation to add an earth spike to a TN arrangement. Is there a requirement to use the supplier earth, my reason for asking is when it comes to EVs and Solar Installations. Using the Solar and home battery in Island mode requires a separate earth.
For house household that may want to install a manual 2 pole 3 position changeover switch to switch from grid to home battery, then it mean using an earth spike would mean that earth stay within the local ground.
I understand that the earth rod may need regular check to ensure it's below the maximum resistance. But wanted to get thoughts around getting around separately essential circuits or if any here has been asked to install a 3 position changeover switch for solar/ generators etc
