I love Ethel and I love Hayden. I am catholic but have definitely struggled with my faith and being queer in the past. My mother recently found out about Ethel and didn’t like her music because of the line “God loves you but not enough to save you”. I always took that line as the town saying it to her and a toxic religion experience. How do you see it and what does she mean by it. Also is her music not for me?
