I’m currently dealing with a very stressful situation with the Ausländerbehörde (in Köln) and could really use some advice.
I’m on a language visa that has already expired, but I submitted all the required documents for renewal on time. Since then, I’ve been trying everything to get an appointment or any kind of response, but with no success. I’ve emailed, called, faxed, and even gone there in person, but I wasn’t able to speak to anyone.
At this point, I’m feeling quite stuck. Without the extension, several important things in my life are on hold, and I don’t know how to move forward.
I wanted to ask:
- Are there specific days or times when it’s possible to go to the Ausländerbehörde without an appointment?
- Has anyone been in a similar situation and found a way to get a response or appointment?
- Can anyone recommend a lawyer or service that helps with these kinds of issues (ideally based on personal experience)?
I would really appreciate constructive advice or practical tips that worked for you.
