I was hired for position X, but I'm now being split across two different departments with different dynamics because apparently they couldn't justify keeping me in my original role since “there wasn't much work to do.”With the addition of this new department, my workload has increased significantly. Even though they say “let us know if it's too much, we don't want you to be overworked,”all the work I've been given is time sensitive on both sides😐. Nothing has changed except that I'm being asked to do more. I'm constantly being asked to overextend myself. The Gen Z in me wants to send my two weeks notice and leave them in a frenzy. Honestly, I feel like they're getting more out of me than I'm getting out of this company. But I know the job market is trash.com, sigh…What's the sensible thing to do?
