Hello friends! I’m a member of the TMNT community which is 42 years old if I’m not mistaken. As a new fan of this media, I was curious to hear from the perspectives of other people whose main fandoms might also be fairly old. How do you feel being in the fandom? Do the older fans treat you with the same respect they would anyone else? How did you get into your fandom? Pretty much just lore dump!
For me I got into tmnt a little over a year ago and have watched all the way through multiple shows and read through many comics. Although some fans can be purist about specific iterations being the best and only best iteration (mostly 87 and 2012 purists) the high majority of the fandom love almost every incarnation and are pretty cool with everyone.
