hi all! i'm currently on the hunt for an apartment. i do unfortunately have bad credit (490) i know, i know. i had some financial struggles at the end of my time in university and have unfortunately dug myself into a 110% credit usage hole. i'm digging myself out, but currently live in an apartment where my rent is $1500 a month, and the living expenses are just too much. i have been late on my rent a total of 4 times in the two years i've lived here (not sure how that stacks up, i just wanna be super honest). im working really hard to pay off my debt, but it looks like i wont be able to pick up my credit score in the months before i need to move. im curious to see if anyone has any good advice on how to apartment hunt with a bad credit score but good income. my monthly gross income is about $4,100, it's not like crazy high but its decent for my $1200 rental budget. i know i need to work on the debt and i am lol, im just curious to see if anyone else has dealt with a similar issue and if there is a good way to handle it. thank you for any help!
