How would you build a door that opens in one motion that covers an L shaped opening on a ledge?
I have a basement access door that currently 2 pieces on simple hinges, a "lid" that rests on a regular door piece. The lid hinges up and rests against a wall, while the door opens to the side.
Essentially it's like if you took a standard door, cut it in half and put the top half flat on the ledge.
I've been looking at gull style doors and folding doors. But haven't been able to find an example of what I'm looking for. Since most doors start flat and open to a fold, I need a door that starts folded at 90° and opens up and folds as flat as possible to the wall?
If anyone knows of what type of set up this would be called I'd appreciate it, or examples of a door on a ledge
