One guy just knocked on my door for one of the major parties. I have THREE do not solicit signs up. My dogs freak out when someone knocks on the door and I don't want the noise when I am trying to work, or relax, or eat dinner, or pretty much during any other time.

I go outside and point out we have 3 no soliciting signs. Rather than apologize and leave he goes into how technically he is not soliciting. Ok asshole, maybe by the letter of the law this isn't soliciting, but does it help your cause to make your neighbors hate you?

I certainly don't want to support his candidate now.

If you are a door knocker for campaigns, trust me when I say this, you will lose more votes than you will gain by knocking on doors at homes owned by people who don't want to be disturbed. And for gods sake, don't get into a legal debate about whether you are actually soliciting. Honor the intent of those signs.

Now I need to figure out who is running against this guys candidate so I know who to vote for in the primary.
