I have to opportunity to stay home with extended family on Long Island and train to work in NYC for my post grad job. I will have 1-2days work from home. I plan to only stay for about 4 months them move. I want to save money and build a good safety net before moving to NYC full time maybe in November or December when the leases are more affordable. Should I commute 1.45 hours there and 2 hour back to save money or spend all my saving to move asap post grad? my sisters think its a bad idea. I want to save though.
