LAPTOP QUESTIONNAIRE
Total budget (in local currency) and country of purchase. Please do not use USD unless purchasing in the US:
300 maximum preferably, but as little as possible is best!
Are you open to refurbs/used?
absolutely!
How would you prioritize form factor (ultrabook, 2-in-1, etc.), build quality, performance, and battery life?
I have no idea, really. I just know I like traditional laptop computers and not Chromebook/MacBook types
How important is weight and thinness to you?
not at all!
Do you have a preferred screen size? If indifferent, put N/A.
N/A
Are you doing any CAD/video editing/photo editing/gaming? List which programs/games you desire to run.
I would love something that could handle photoshop and illustrator, but that’s not a necessity. I really just need something that can download images and documents for school. I am a writer and spend a lot of time on Google Docs.
If you're gaming, do you have certain games you want to play? At what settings and FPS do you want?
n/a
Any specific requirements such as good keyboard, reliable build quality, touch-screen, finger-print reader, optical drive or good input devices (keyboard/touchpad)?
good keyboard would be great!
Leave any finishing thoughts here that you may feel are necessary and beneficial to the discussion.
I know nothing about laptops, but mine is about to croak and I’ll need one for work and school. I’m looking to get something for as low a price as possible, but won’t break immediately and can last long enough to be worth it for the price. I spend most of my time on the internet, Google Docs + canva specifically, but reallly don’t like MacBooks/chromebooks and like the traditional file storage of a laptop computer. Right now I have an HP something (not sure the exactly model) that’s served me well for many years, so something simple and similar to that would be great!
