First two pics are from my new Halo iv fresh from Blade HQ, within minutes of getting it out I noticed clearly the pocket clips has had a milling issue. So I figure no sweat I called Microtech and explained was told yeah dude no worries fill out an RA form, make sure to include pictures…
Then I sent my pictures and The email response I got was “MOST IF NOT ALL ARE LIKE THAT AND ITS NORMAL… well which is it most or all? If it’s not every single one it’s not normal, and if it’s all of them it might be “normal” for Microtech but not normal in this industry to have a knife this expensive and a flaw like that… I’ll bet the customs done that that on the pocket clips.
the third picture is from Microtech’s own website, and you can see the flaw in the clips, and I checked a bunch of other websites and could see the flaw in their pictures, so clearly there’s a lotta fucked up clips out there.
Final pic is the email from Microtech
I cannot be the first person to notice this…..This is not normal it’s a bad milling spot no doubt…Does everyone else have this flaw? Did they have a few thousand that got milled bad and just said send it? Seems crazy a knife this expensive is allowed to leave the shop with a flaw like that by the 1000’s
