nice text from my lovely mother

nice text from my lovely mother

(Text translated by WhatsApps translating feature)

After one and a half years without contact my mother asked my husband if she can drop off a small easter gift for my son. I told him that it’d be okay if she stayed at the door. She overstepped and came right to my front door asking if I’m not going to say hello. I panicked and just sat in my living room pretending that I wasn’t at home. The following two weeks she repeatedly invited us over. My husband didn’t reply and she asked if she did something wrong so he told her that I’m not willing to pretend nothing ever happened (when we went no contact, whole other story) and she has to apologize to me.

She said thank you and sent me this text the next morning… my day was ruined… a few days later she sent me a three minute long voice message (I didn’t want to hear her voice so I used the transcript function) saying we both did things wrong and we should talk, just the two of us (so nobody can witness her behavior) because she loves my son more than everything (??? She saw him like 3 times in two years, practically a stranger to him) and she’s soo lonely and heartbroken. I did not reply… everyone I talked to said they are sorry for me and that she’s crazy.

I’m not sure how to precede… for now I changed my settings so she can’t see any story updates I post on WhatsApp so she can’t see pictures of my son.

This situation is very stressful to me and Im heartbroken because all my friends have ‚normal‘ parents.

Not a native speaker so sorry for any mistakes I made. I drew over my sons name in purple.
